Mid-Century Modern Furniture, Built for Commercial Use
The silhouettes are 1950s. The construction is contract-grade. Every piece is built to order in our Los Angeles factory — in your dimensions, your wood, your fabric.
Trend Contract Furnishings builds mid-century modern furniture for hotels, restaurants, offices, and multifamily spaces — in Los Angeles, to commercial specification. Most mid-century furniture on the market is either fragile vintage or a residential reproduction that fails within a year of public use. We build the silhouette designers actually want — walnut and cane, tapered legs, low-slung lounges, exposed show-wood — on hardwood frames with contract-grade fills that meet California TB 117-2013, sized to your space rather than a catalog page. Send a reference image of the piece you have in mind and we engineer a commercial-duty version of it, with CAD shop drawings for approval before anything is cut.
Built in Los Angeles and shipped nationwide — statement lounge chairs for boutique hotels, cafe seating, and full amenity-floor packages.
Seating built for Marriott, Hyatt, MGM Resorts, Hilton and OpenAI.

Mid-Century, Done to Contract Grade
Exposed walnut and specialty-species frames, shaped and finished in-house — the detail mid-century lives or dies on.
Turned, tapered, and splayed leg profiles built to commercial load, not just to look the part.
Cane backs and woven panels specified for public-space wear, replaceable when they age.
Channeling, button tufting, and bouclé- and tweed-friendly tailoring — COM/COL welcome from any mill.
A lounge chair scaled up for a hotel lobby or a settee shortened to a niche — the silhouette holds, the size is yours.
Hardwood frames, TB 117-2013 fills, and serviceable construction built to be reupholstered, not replaced.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is your mid-century furniture vintage or new?
New, and built to order. Every piece is manufactured in our Los Angeles factory — mid-century silhouettes on contract-grade construction, not restored vintage and not imported reproductions.
Can mid-century furniture hold up in commercial spaces?
Ours can — that is the point of the program. Hardwood frames, commercial-duty joinery, and foams that meet California TB 117-2013, under the walnut-and-cane look. Residential reproductions are the ones that fail in public use.
Can you build from a reference photo of a mid-century piece?
Yes. Send the photo with your dimensions and we engineer a commercial-grade version — our own construction, your size and materials — with CAD shop drawings for approval before anything is cut.
Can you match a specific wood tone, like walnut or teak?
Yes. Staining and finishing happen in-house, matched to your sample — walnut, teak tones, oak, or a custom match.
Do you accept COM fabric on mid-century pieces?
Yes — bouclé, tweed, leather, or anything else from any mill. We confirm yardage on the shop drawings before you order.
Is there a minimum order?
No. One statement chair for a lobby or a full amenity-floor package — same shop, same standard.
What is the lead time?
Typically 4–10 weeks from approved shop drawings or fabric receipt, plus freight from Los Angeles.
Where can I see the mid-century pieces?
The curated edit — Seattle Lounge Chair, Tower Chair, Kane Chair, and more — is on the products page under the Mid-Century filter, each with a full spec sheet and tearsheet.
