Seating built for
Pieces we build to match
Much of the custom seating we quote for procurement firms and designers starts as “custom to match”: a lounge chair, sofa, ottoman or stool that has to match a piece in the spec, a discontinued model, or the seating already on the floor. We work from what you have: photos from two or three angles, an item number, the overall width, depth and height, and the seat height if you know it. We turn that into a dimensioned shop drawing in our own frame and cushion construction, with your COM or COL yardage confirmed on the sheet, and nothing is cut until you approve it. Every piece is upholstered by hand in our Carson, Los Angeles factory, with no minimum order.

General notes
- Start with photos: Front, side and back views plus the overall width, depth and height are enough to quote. An item number or a link to the original helps.
- Seat height and comfort: Give us the seat height, arm height and seat depth if you have them, and how firm the original sits. We match the feel, not just the outline.
- Our drawing, your approval: We issue a dimensioned shop drawing of our version, with the cushion construction and COM/COL yardage called out. Nothing is cut until you approve it.
- Built to your spec: We match the look, proportions and finish your spec calls for in our own frame and cushion construction. We don’t reproduce another maker’s logo, label or trademarked details.
- COM and COL welcome: Send the mill, pattern and color. Yardage is based on 54-inch plain goods and confirmed per piece on the drawing; patterns, repeats and railroading change the number.
- One piece or a full property: No minimum order. A single prototype or model-room piece can come first, then the run.
- Contract-grade: Kiln-dried hardwood frames, and foams and fills that meet California TB 117-2013.
- Answers your RFQ checklist: Your quote lists the price per item, COM/COL yardage per piece, the lead time, freight to your ZIP, and installation as its own line if the job needs it.

What does custom to match mean?
A custom-to-match piece is built to match the look, size and comfort of a specified or existing piece, such as a chair in your FF&E spec, a discontinued model, or the seating already on the floor. We draw our own version from your photos and dimensions, you approve the shop drawing, and we build it in our Los Angeles factory.
What do you need to quote a custom-to-match piece?
Photos from the front, side and back, the overall width, depth and height, the quantity, and the fabric or leather. Seat height, arm height and an item number or link to the original make the match closer. The RFQ template on this page lists every field.
Will it be an exact copy?
We match the look, proportions, comfort and finish your spec calls for, using our own frame and cushion construction. We don’t reproduce another maker’s logo, label or trademarked details, and the shop drawing you approve shows exactly what will be built.
Can you match a discontinued chair or the seating already in the building?
Often, yes. Send photos and sizes. If an original piece is available, its measurements and close-ups of the seams, welts and legs give the best match.
Do you accept COM and COL?
Yes, on every piece. Send the mill, pattern and color. Yardage is based on 54-inch plain goods and confirmed per piece on the shop drawing; patterns, repeats and railroading change it.
How long does custom-to-match take?
Standard lead time is 4–10 weeks from approved shop drawings and receipt of your COM or COL. Your quote states the lead time for your order.
Can we see a prototype first?
Yes. A single piece or a model-room set can be built first for your approval, then the full run on the same drawing.
Is there a minimum order?
No. One piece or a full property.
Have a photo and the sizes of the piece?
Send it today. A firm quote, itemized by piece and quantity, comes back in about 2 business days.
